Follow the Recipe!

The Low Fat Beef Tacos were devoured by my kids. Claire even ate two. But I think I should have followed the recipe for Low Fat Fudge Brownies and not substituted Splenda for the sugar. Not only did they come out dry, but they tasted like chocolate-flavored plastic. The lesson I learned is to always follow the recipe, at least the first time.

Tonight, I'm making Chicken Nuggets for the kids. I will be serving them with potato skins. Don't know how my kids will react to potato skins since they've never had them.

Since the temperature yesterday was near 70 degrees, the kids and I went outside after school. Michael rode his bike while I pulled Claire in the wagon. I raced Michael around the circle, even running at one point while still pulling Claire. Nice workout.

A couple of days ago, I took the kids to buy Claire a bike, but she said she didn't want one. While we were outside yesterday, I brought it up and asked her again. She said yes this time. So tomorrow, we're going back to the store. I wanted to get both kids riding bikes so we can all go riding around the neighborhood.

Get moving this weekend!
