I love my pressure cooker because I can cook without adding any extra fat. I use either chicken or beef broth (homemade is the best). And I do not add any butter or oil. The broth flavors my food just the way I want it to. I also have a George Foreman grill that I use for hamburgers and chicken. That too doesn't require any oils or fats. So if you have either one of these tools you to can cook without or nearly without fats or oils. And your suggestions about the fat separator is wonderful.
