A simple and delicious late summer or fall dessert. Serve with a scoop of low fat frozen yogurt or a dollop of fat-free sour cream sweetened with a little brown sugar.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pound red plums, pitted and sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup orange juice

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lay sliced plums in an 8-inch square baking dish. Combine sugar, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg and sprinkle over plums. Drizzle orange juice on top. Toss gently. Cover with foil and roast for 20 minutes.
