The Rocky Road to Sveltesville
And so Ms. Taylor, perhaps better known as Our Lady of Weight Loss, leads us on a metaphorical journey to Sveltesville, where the language is Thinnish and the currency is pounds.
She cautions that it can be a rocky road. But, armed with her book, which serves as a road map to our destination, we can make the journey smoother, and treat obstacles as opportunities to transform ourselves.
Along the Road
- Forgivercizes to boost our mental powers
- Creative curves – fun activities and tips
- Fuel stops, featuring low-fat recipes
- Fashion stops - learn how to make a tape measure belt or earrings out of mini salt and pepper shakers
- E stops – croquet or badminton, anyone?
- Valley of the Cheers – yes, cheerleading riffs to encourage our efforts
- For those who lose their way and venture into Sin City: "I just ate four Dove bars and I don't mean the soap," there are 'Get Out of Jail Free' cards, which let us off the hook so we can get back on the road to Sveltesville
