
Add a seasonal twist to traditional banana bread by adding some fresh cranberries. This lower fat
cranberry banana bread is delicious with hot cider or tea. It's also particularly good served warm. It's not the sweetest of quick breads; the relative tartness of the cranberries is a nice contrast to the sweetness provided by the bananas (be sure to use very ripe bananas). If you prefer a sweeter cranberry banana bread, you can use dried cranberries instead. For an extra nutritional boost, and sure, some extra fat calories, feel free to add some heart-healthy walnuts too, if you like.
