Apple Phyllo Pie

Friday September 18, 2009

During the fall there’s nothing quite like the aroma of an apple pie baking in the oven. With its buttery, flaky crust, you might think apple pie is off the menu if you’re trying to eat low fat. Well, from time to time, a little bit of what you fancy won’t hurt—unless your doctor tells you otherwise. But if you want to stay true to your low-fat way of eating, try this sweet and delicious Apple Phyllo Pie instead, which is chock-full of apples, enclosed in a light and crispy phyllo crust. Served warm with a scoop of light ice cream or low-fat frozen yogurt, you won’t feel you’re missing out.
