Mango and Black Bean Salsa

Wednesday July 8, 2009
Make your own fresh salsa and you may never use the bottled variety again. It’s simple to prepare and of course it's fat free. Try a colorful Mango and Black Bean Salsa (pictured), some Peach Salsa or a basic Fresh Tomato Salsa. Experiment with your own fruity variations by using cantaloupe, watermelon, pineapple or blueberries; use green onions or sweet onions instead of red; and vary the heat by using different kinds of chile peppers. Whether you eat your salsa with baked corn chips or use it to complement a main dish, your taste buds will thank you.
