A Low-Fat Makeover
Wednesday December 31, 2008
It’s that time of year when we promise to give ourselves a fresh start. This usually involves some kind of diet. The trouble is, after a few short weeks of no carbs or fat-free everything, our resolve weakens and we’re back where we started.
Does this mean we might as well not bother? No. It means we should set more realistic goals. If you choose to follow a low-fat route—perhaps to lose weight, lead a healthier lifestyle, or because your doctor suggested it—here’s how you can give yourself a low-fat makeover. It’s not about deprivation, and it doesn’t involve replacement meal bars, shakes, or special supplements that could cause unpleasant side effects. Make a resolution that you can keep. Happy New Year!
