Fiona's Low Fat Cooking BlogEaster Sugar Cookies
Assuming you don't overdo the creme eggs, jelly beans, chocolate bunnies and little marshmallow chicks, you can allow yourself a cute little homemade Easter sugar cookie. These cookies have less butter (so less fat) than regular sugar cookies, so you don't need to feel too guilty. The kids will have fun making them, decorating them, and, no doubt, eating them! Instead of using fat-filled canned frosting, use colorful sprinkles, sugars and decorating gels.
And for those of you who do succumb to lots of sweet treats this Easter, check out this handy Easter Basket Calorie Calculator from Wendy Bumgardner, About's Guide to Walking, to find out how many miles you're going to need to walk to burn off those extra calories.
