I may cook low fat most of the time, but I admit to periodic weaknesses for unhealthy snacks, such as chocolate or cookies. Few of us are immune. As much as I know these sweet treats sabotage my otherwise healthy eating, it’s sometimes hard to control a craving once it takes hold. Tracee Cornforth, About’s Guide to Women’s Health, features an excerpt from author Jana Klauer, M.D., who offers three steps to help us control our cravings, noting that a craving generally lasts only 8-14 minutes before it passes.
