There are no shortcuts to long-term weight loss. Many diets can help us shed pounds in the beginning, but the restrictive nature of these diets makes them too hard to stick with. The “No-Fad Diet” is a new book from the American Heart Association, which promotes safe and steady weight loss through healthy, balanced eating and increased physical activity. The idea is hardly new, but with more Americans overweight than ever before, it’s time to get back to basics. The "No-Fad Diet" shows us how.
