Spaghetti Dinners

By January 14, 2005

Follow me on:

Most of us have some spaghetti or linguine in our pantries. Here are a few ideas for making some tasty low fat meals with it. Try, for instance, this Spaghetti with Shrimp and Tomato Sauce or some Turkey Meatballs and Spaghetti, or even this Spaghetti Bolognese. And if you’re looking for something a little different, this Asian Chicken Noodle dish makes a nice change.

Finally, a quick tip: consider switching to whole wheat pasta to boost your intake of fiber. The government's new dietary guidelines encourage us to eat at least three ounce-equivalents, or servings, of whole grains a day. An ounce-equivalent in the grain group would be a 1/2 cup of cooked pasta, rice or cereal, a slice of bread, or one cup of dry cereal.
